How to maintain inventory item

To maintain inventory item first of all we will click on maintain button and select the inventory item and the window that will open is shown below

After selecting this window we will click on inventory item account and the window will be

         

In this window following things are asked like first of all there is item id in this tab we write the id of the item and after this there is description tab and we write the description of the item on the write side there is item class in this we write the types of the item

After this there are following tabs like general tab. Custom fields, history tab, bills of materials, and item attributes tab

General tab

     In this tab there are following things like first of all there is price level in it we set the level of the price after this there is last unit cost after this there is location which means that at which place of the factory the item is located after this there is cost method in which we tall about the method we use for cost and here we use perpetual cost method. After this there is UPC which means unit per cost after this there are item type location and weigh. on the right hand side there are quantity on hand and quantity available and minimum stock after this there are quantity on so and quantity on po

After this there is custom field in this tab there are following things like alternate vendor substitution and special note

After this there is history tab and in this tab following things are asked like period history unit sold sales units rec,d and costs and the the window of the history will be
